No Flu Vaccines At this Time

  • Comments Off on No Flu Vaccines At this Time

We currently do not have any seasonal or H1N1 vaccines in stock at this time. We are updating this site regularly in regards to our vaccine stock, so checking back here often or subscribing to this site is the best way to stay informed. While we are happy to answer any questions you may have, we are not able to take individual names to call when we do get more in stock. We thank you for your patience as we make our way through this crazy flu season!

Flu Shots available Saturday 11/7

  • Comments Off on Flu Shots available Saturday 11/7

This Saturday, 7 November, we will be administering the last of our current stock of 175 doses of seasonal flu vaccines (with preservatives) for ages 4 and up. They will be available on a walk-in basis from 9am-12pm, or until they are gone, whichever comes first. If you miss out on this round, we expect to get more in at the end of the month.

We also have 30 doses left of the preservative-free pediatric seasonal vaccine for ages 6 months – 36 months and 5 doses of FluMist left. Stop on by the retail pharmacy this Saturday for your seasonal flu vaccine!

Child and Adult Vaccines Available

  • Comments Off on Child and Adult Vaccines Available

We have 75 doses of the seasonal flu vaccine (with preservatives) for ages 4 years through adults available. If you haven’t gotten one yet this year, come on by the retail store between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday or 9am-4pm on Saturday.

We also have preservative-free pediatric vaccines for ages 6 months to 36 months. If this is your child’s first vaccine they will need two doses about a month apart, so let us know!

Still no word on when we will receive the H1N1 vaccine. According to an article I read in Time Magazine the government has backed off the original estimate of 120 million doses by mid-October. They have shipped out some (11 million) and are hoping to ship out another 50 million by mid-November and 150 million in mid-December. The flu virus in grown in chicken eggs and can be somewhat unreliable to culture causing delays in production. In the meantime, remember to wash your hands often, cover your coughs, stay home if you’re not feeling well, and avoid touching your eyes!

Now you know as much as I do about the current availability!

100 Doses of Pediatric Flu Shots

  • Comments Off on 100 Doses of Pediatric Flu Shots

As promised (with fingers crossed!), we finally got a shipment of preservative-free, pediatric flu shots for children ages 6 months to 36 months. If this is the first year your child will be receiving a flu vaccination, they will need 2 doses approximately a month apart. Make sure you let us know if this is their first one!

Hours to receive flu shots are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm and Saturday 9am-4pm. Feel free to stop in with your child during those business hours.

We are still waiting for our shipments of the seasonal flu vaccines for adults and the novel H1N1 vaccines. We appreciate your patience in this matter as we cannot control when and if our shipments will arrive due to the high demand. As always, we will keep you posted whenever we know something!

It looks like our pediatric flu shots are shipping out this week, so we should have them soon! Yippee! We’ll let you know when they’ve arrived.

In other news, we are now out of the seasonal FluMist doses, meaning we’re out of all forms of season flu vaccines. We have ordered more and will let you know as soon as we know when to expect them. Thanks for your patience!
